Life Points represent a character’s physical health. A character starts at level 1 with 10 life points plus half the maximum value of their PS stat die. So, if a character’s PA stat die is a D12, they will start at level 1 with 16 Life Points (10 + 6). When a character attains a new level, their maximum Life Points will increase by 5 plus half the maximum value of their PS stat die.
A character will lose Life Points when they take damage. They may recover Life Points through rest or by other means (see Damage and Recovery).
If at any time a character’s Life Points fall to zero, they will perish. However, a character’s demise can be avoided, at least temporarily, by trading some of the damage taken for a Deficiency (see Damage and Recovery).
